This is a white tiled-in soap dish with grab bar made by the Fairfacts Co., this is part of their "Bilt-in" suite of subway tile accessory pieces with the year 1917 on the back. This soap dish is in very good condition with minimal plaster on the back. 

Most bathroom retro-renovations would need at least one tiled-in soap dish to one side of their bathroom sink. The other side would have had a cup or toothbrush holder, or perhaps a second soap dish.
